SureStrike Hosting FREE Monthly Emergency Preparedness Meeting - Emergency Ready Group
SureStrike will be hosting a FREE monthly meeting gathering everyone interested in being prepared to handle emergencies. When some people think of prepping, it conjures images of strange people wearing tinfoil hats huddled in a shelter while they wait for the mothership to return. For others, thoughts of a recluse living in a one-room shack in the middle of rural Montana come to mind.
But our group believes neither of those images captures the real nature of prepping. The basis of prepping is simply preparing for the future. This means different things to different people and since there is no certainty of what that future may bring, peppers frequently hope for the best yet prepare for the worst.
There are three main areas of prepping:
Acquiring Necessary Supplies
Making sure food water and shelter are available is a key area of a preppers mindset. In a major snow storm travel maybe unsafe or not possible, a prepper should have supplies on hand to be able to wait out such a situation.
Learning Skills
If a storm knocked down a neighbor's home and they were trapped inside, you may need to have some special skills acquired thru preparation and training.
Building A Community
People need people! Some day you may find yourself in need of skills that you don't have. Knowing people with those skills is very helpful.
Our monthly group is focused on helping you acquire new skills and build a group of friends you can count on when things go bad. The zombies may never attack but you'll be prepared if they do!
